Cameron, a member of Eden Advance under Devon Adair, had intended to stay on Planet G889 once the team had achieved their goal of reaching New Pacifica. A scientist specializing in biology and geology, his efforts were originally to be focused on learning the planet and the ways to survive on it. However, with the unplanned evacuation of the advance ship Roanoke, Cameron's talents were set aside so that he could better serve the group by lugging cargo with his brute strength.
